Monica Johnston, M.S., Founder and Principal Applied Statistician. Ms. Johnston has more than 10 years of experience working as an independent consultant, specializing in fields of Institutional Research, and Math and Statistics Education. Prior to her work as a consultant, she worked in public health research, specifically in chronic diseases, breast cancer, and cervical cancer. She worked for large research institutions, such as UCSF and DHS Cancer Surveillance Section, and has co-authored over 20 publications while working with nationally recognized researchers. She has more than 20 years of experience teaching math, statistics, and writing. She has broad experience sharing her professional skills as a volunteer in advocacy, governance, and community building. In 2009, she was named Distinguished Woman of the Year for AAUW-Concord and, in 2012 she was honored as its Named Gift Recipient. Ms. Johnston earned her M.S. in Statistics from Stanford University.
